Karen Beckett is one of the most popular cabaret performers in Australia today. Born in Perth, Western Australia, Karen moved to Sydney in her late teens to pursue a career in entertainment. Before long she had performed on all major Australian Television variety shows and won a 36-show engagement at the MGM Grande Hotel in Las Vegas. This was followed by national tours with Bob Hope and Neil Sedaka. Karen has also won three industry MO Awards and three ACE Awards.
Karen's sensational voice together with the professional and charming nature of her performances led Bill DeAngelis, Director of Entertainment at the MGM Grande, to comment, "I have no doubt the whole world will hear of you Karen". Her versatility in both cabaret and theatre also landed her the leading role of "Fantine" in an Australian production of "Les Miserables".
ALBUMS: Karen has recorded three albums, “Romantically Inclined”, “Here to Eternity” which receives airplay both in Australia and Europe, and her latest CD “When Somebody Loves You” featuring timeless ballads from her cabaret shows.
