Ireland’s International Voice of ROMANCE John MacNally was born in Dublin, and as he says himself, “I can never remember a time when I did not sing”
The early years of his adult life was studying at Trinity University College, Dublin, John went on to perform in musicals “Carousel”, “South Pacific”, “Rose Marie”. John had his own radio and TV series and completed numerous seasons in cabaret and theatre. It was during this time that he signed a recording contract with CBS London and recorded his biggest hit song “Mary in the Morning”.
Over the next number of years, John performed both in Australia and America. In Australia, he had many radio series on ABC, and was a television host for the top rated “Tonight Show” for three years. Through his recording side he received four gold and two platinum records in recognition of his success.
He has performed in Las Vegas at the Sahara, Hilton & Flamingo Hotels, appeared on television on The Johnny Carson, Merv Griffin and Mike Douglas Shows.
John chose the National Concert Hall in Dublin to record a one hour TV spectacular with the Dublin Concert Orchestra and 250 “Our Lady’s Coral Society.
John returned to America to a triumphal success at Carnegie Hall playing to a capacity audience. So successful was his Carnegie Hall concert that John was invited to sing a solo concert in the Lincoln Center, New York.
John now spends most of his time between Australia, USA and Ireland.
