ONE OF AUSTRALIA'S LEADING CABARET ENTERTAINMENT AGENCIES
JIM HAYNES OAM

Jim Haynes has 25 years full-time involvement in the music industry as both an independent and signed recording artist, songwriter and producer. He has toured extensively and has been a signed recording artist with Festival, ABC Music and Compass Bros.

Jim’s comedy hit ‘Since Cheryl Went Feral’ spent twenty-six weeks in the country charts and was number one for five weeks. He has had other hits with ‘Don’t Call Wagga Wagga Wagga’, ‘I Lobster and Never Flounder’ and ‘I’ll Watch Anything!’

After many years touring his own shows as well as being part of the Slim Dusty Show and many others, Jim’s skills as a comedian, reciter, story-teller and singer, especially his ability to rattle through tongue twister classics ‘Weelababarabak’, ‘Rindercella and the Sigly Upstesters’ and ‘I’ll Watch Anything’, never cease to amaze, entertain and delight.

Jim began the idea of morning shows at Tamworth and other festivals in the early 1990s and is also a successful author and editor with eighteen books to his credit. He has been the resident Australiana expert on Radio 2UE’s top rating weekend show for a decade and his latest album, Galah Occasion, was released at the Tamworth Festival in 2012.

National Party Past President, Helen Dickey once said, ‘Jim Haynes is simply the best Australian comic entertainer we have.’
